I did some work a few days ago to wake up the winter beds and prepare them for spring.
I have also already cut and dusted the seed potatoes with sulfur to prevent rotting.
Today, I finished turning under the cover crop growing in another area of the garden. I removed some soil to make room for compost and soil amendments. Then, I spaced the seed potatoes about 12in apart in all directions and covered them with a few inches of compost.
Three other families have joined me in this potato venture, sort of like a CSA here at the “Lafferty Farm.”
